Will Seemsville Rd. Be Relocated?
In order to stay actively current with proposed development, C.A.R.D. submitted Right To Know (RTK) requests to various government agencies. Our recent request was to Allen Township requesting the PennDot letters concerning the 6 proposed Jaindl warehouses off of Rt 329 between Howertown Rd and Seemsville Road.
Jaindl will need approval from both the Northampton Area School District (NASD) and East Allen Township to relocate Seemsville Road. Ideally, Seemsville Road would be relocated opposite Walnut Street to form a 4 way intersection and to provide East Allen’s Ambulance Corps access. If the location opposite Walnut Street is not pursued, it looks like Seemsville Road should be relocated east 650 feet towards Walnut Street according to the letters from PennDot. Read more below :

In the NASD preliminary budget, millage would increase 2.06 mills, a 3.9% increase.

Our Letter To East Allen Township Board Of Supervisors Regarding
The Hiring of a New Township Manager
A Township Manager is the chief administrative officer and is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Township government. This is an appointed position by the Board of Supervisors for an indefinite term and has the responsibilities of administering the policies of the Board. Township Mangers are generally responsible for preparing the annual budget, administering the personal staff, enforcing various Township ordinances, negotiating contracts and researching grants.
It is for these reasons, East Allen C.A.R.D. has written the Board of Supervisors a letter to get clarity on the hiring process. It is our hope to find candidates with vast administrative experience and sound financial management skills in order to choose the best qualified manager. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
