C.A.R.D. LETTER TO PENNDOT
Citizens for Accountability & Responsible Development, East Allen C.A.R.D., recently wrote the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in regards to the added tractor trailer trucks and safety concerns on Weaversville Road. Copies were sent to East Allen, Allen and Hanover (Lehigh) Townships, Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, PA State Police, Rep. Marcia Hahn and Senator Mario Scavello.
We addressed oversize tractor trailers using this road, the rate of speed through the āSā turns while crossing the double yellow lines, the use of jake brakes through the turns, speeding and congestion. We hope to get a response and will keep you updated. Read the full letter below.

Building Code Official – CodeMaster, Mr. Sherwin Miller

Appointed Zoning Hearing Board – Mr. Christopher Cruz and Mr. Art Hemming
At the conclusion of the 1/2/2018 reorganizational meeting, a motion was made and a vote was taken by the East Allen Township Board of Supervisors of 5 – 0 to oppose HB1620, the Wireless Broadband Collection Act. The bill, among other things, would strip PA municipalities of all of their zoning authority over wireless antennas and equipment in public rights-of-way.
