The Lehigh Valley in the past 80 years has changed as drastically, if not more, than almost every other region in Pennsylvania.
Massive housing developments, business parks and shopping centers now sit where there were farm fields in the late 1930s. Landmarks such as the Lehigh Valley Mall and major throughways such as Interstate 78 were still just ideas as recently as the early 1970s.
