This Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7 pm. Jaindl Land Company will be submitting their Land Development Plans to the Allen Township Planning Commission at the Allen Township Fire Company Building, 3530 Howertown Road, Northampton, PA 18067. Jaindl is proposing the construction of 6 warehouses totaling 2,552,700 square feet north of Howertown Road and Rt 329. According to the LVPC, “The project qualifies as a Land Use of Regional Significance because it exceeds the minimum criteria of 500,000 square feet for storage facilities.  Such uses are of special significance because they may have a regional impact or significance.” The estimate 4,263 trips per weekday is based upon the Institute of Transportation Engineers Trip Generation Manual with a break down of 62% cars and 38% Trucks.  This is in addition to the already approved warehouses; FedEx, lot #5 & lot #6, off of Willowbrook Road.

Our rural area DOES NOT have the infrastructure to support this development!  This site also has over 70 acres of valuable woodlands and 13 acres of wetlands. We know the holidays are a very busy time for everyone, but, please make every effort to attend this meeting.  This development will negatively affect the quality of life for us all.
