Dauphin County, PA — Just compensation in the eminent domain code is being called into question by property owners in the path of one of Pennsylvania’s largest infrastructure projects to date.

“It’s one of the most harmful exercises of state power that probably is one of the most least understood,” Eminent Domain Attorney Anthony Corby says.

CBS 21 News submitted a right to know form to PennDOT, requesting how many properties have been taken for the I-83 project and what the compensation equates to. After five business days, the Department responded with a 30-day extension to return an answer.
